Jim Croft Union Office |
Jim has been the Secretary/Treasurer of Local 122 since January of 1989. In that time span, he has taken Local 122 from severe financial difficulties to having a value of over $1 million.
Prior to his tenure as Secretary/Treasurer, Jim served one year as the Sergeant-At-Arms, and 10 years on the Jacksonville Police and Fire Pension Fund’s Pension Advisory Committee. Jim possess Bachelor’s degree in Business from Jacksonville University.
Jim is a 31-year member of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, currently holding the rank of Captain. He is a founding member of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Hazardous Materials Team, the first Hazardous Materials of its kind in the fire service. Jim also served as a Lieutenant at the old Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Training Center, which now serves as the Local 122 offices.
Jim is also an avid golfer and represents the Jacksonville Firefighters at many charity events.

Robin Gainey is currently serving his third term as the Jacksonville Association of Firefighters’ Sergeant-At-Arms.
He is a 17 year veteran of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, currently serving as the Captain on Engine 4 of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department’s Special Operations Team.
Robin is a native of Jacksonville Florida and has lived here his entire life. He is married and has three children.
In addition to being the Sergeant-at-Arms for the Jacksonville Firefighters, Robin is in charge of the Local 122 Building Committee and is responsible for the renovations of the offices, fire station, and tower located on the Jacksonville Association of Firefighters complex.

Southern District Representative

John Long is in his first term as an elected member of the Jacksonville Association of Firefighters Local 122 Executive Board, representing the Southern District.
John is a 15 year veteran of the JFRD, currently serving as the Captain on Tower Ladder 44. He is a member of the Florida Task Force 5 USAR team and has been certified as a Haz Mat Tech since 1989. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at the Fire College located at the Florida Community College of Jacksonville. He has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science and is currently pursuing his Paramedic License.
In addition to his service on the Local 122 Executive Board, John also serves on the Local 122 Building Committee.

Western District Representative

Leland Watson F-5-A |
Lee Watson is the Westside Representative for the Jacksonville Association of Firefighters. He has held that post for the last 7 years.
Lee is a 26 year veteran of the JFRD and has been assigned to some of the department’s busiest stations. He currently serves as a District Chief at Fire Station 22 on Jacksonville’s west side.
Lee holds an Associates Degree in Fire Science from Florida Community College in Jacksonville in addition to a Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Saint Leo’s College.
